HIV Prevention Counseling Series: The Facts

The Facts is a one-day course that provides information concerning the spectrum of HIV disease, HIV antibody testing and developments in rapid testing, legal issues, disclosure assistance (partner counseling and referral services), risk assessment and reduction, and psychosocial issues.

WEBINAR: HIV Prevention: nPEP and PrEP

The purpose of this webinar is to enable participants to increase their knowledge of how to properly prescribe and monitor nPEP and PrEP. Upon completion, participants will be able to: List the preferred regimens for nPEP and PrEP, discuss protocols for evaluating patients nPEP and PrEP needs , and describe follow-up procedures for patients that are prescribed nPEP.

Motivational Interviewing for Community Health Workers & Navigators

The Motivational Interviewing (MI) training program is designed to provide MI training to Community Health Workers and Patient Navigators throughout the state of Virginia. Participants will be introduced to the theoretical foundations of MI, the role of ambivalence in behavior change, basic MI skills, and how to identify and elicit change talk with clients.
